TATE AMERICAS FOUNDATION ACTIVITIES

Artists Dinner 2022 at Casa Cruz

Tate Americas Foundation Artists Dinner

The 2022 Tate Americas Foundation Artists Dinner was a celebration of 20 years of the North American Acquisitions Committee and the Latin American Acquisitions Committee and the incredible artists whose work has entered the Collection in that time. During the past twenty years, these Committees have transformed Tate’s collection through pioneering and bold acquisitions. The North American Acquisitions Committee has acquired 219 works by 102 artists, and the Latin American Acquisitions Committee has acquired 395 works by 146 artists. Together, these works have enabled Tate to tell transnational narratives, presenting a bold new history of art. The following artists were honored at the dinner: Leonor Antunes, Firelei Báez, Kevin Beasley, Andrea Bowers, Glenn Brown, Juan Manuel Echavarría, Guadalupe Maravilla, Julie Mehretu, Gabriel Orozco, Damián Ortega, Liliana Porter, Kara Walker, and Anicka Yi.

We are grateful to the Co-chairs for the evening, Abigail and Joe Baratta and Amanda and Glenn Fuhrman and the Benefactors Laurel and Paul Britton, Agnes Gund, Christian K. Keesee and Larry Keigwin, Elizabeth and Kevin McNamara, Bob Rennie and Carey Fouks, and Charlotte Santo Domingo.

Additional thanks to Tiqui Atencio Demirdjian, Erica Roberts, Greg Miller and Christen Wilson, and past Chairs Glenn Fuhrman, Bob Rennie, and Dennis and Debra Scholl for their leadership of LAAC and NAAC.
