Since 2002, Tate’s Latin American Acquisitions Committee (LAAC) has helped weave the art historical contributions of Latin America within a global view of modern and contemporary art. By acquiring major works of art by Latin American artists, Tate’s collection better represents our global world. In addition to acquiring seminal works, LAAC members serve as ambassadors to Tate, building community and raising the profile for Tate by developing strong links with artists, institutions, and individuals across Latin America.
