Since 2001, Tate’s North American Acquisitions Committee has helped shape the narrative of Tate’s global collection by acquiring major works of art by American and Canadian artists. By adding significant works of art by artists in the region, Tate’s collection better represents our global world. In addition to acquiring seminal works, NAAC members serve as ambassadors to Tate, building community and raising the profile for Tate by developing strong links with artists, institutions, and individuals across North America.
