Acquisitions Committees play an essential role in Tate’s global network of support. Members of the North American and Latin American Acquisitions Committee help diversify and expand Tate’s collection by acquiring major works of arts from the Americas. Acquisitions Committee members champion Tate’s efforts to democratize art for the public and create space for artists outside a Eurocentric canon. Works acquired by the Committees enter the collection and are shown at Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool, and Tate St Ives and are loaned to exhibitions around the world.
